Guess by now you've figured out you have the MK85 "Hunter" model. Saw one recently for sale described 8 out of 10 condition, no scope, #11 ignition for $250.

You now own a fine Muzzle Loader in the MK-85 it was the first one I ever owned and I've had many It will do all you want it to do if you do your part Just follow the loads suggested for each powder maker and bullets. all I ever shot was 777 out of the MK-85 50 caliber and was quite enough out to 200 yards provided I did my part BH-209 wasn't available at that time You may want to shoot a little more in your 54. After all these years the MK-85 is still in use with others and they are quite happy. I have a Knight Master Hunter 50 caliber and a new 45 Caliber Mountaineer 1-20 twist I will probably never hunt with either as I shoot smokeless Muzzle Loaders but I go to the range and will shoot them often. I am sure others will chime in and tell you of loads they use. Good Louck
