Help Identifying Muzzleloader and Problem

Post by coferj » November 1st, 2012, 7:38 pm

Just got this from my uncle and have no idea what kind it is and no manual. It says Knight T-Bolt .50 Caliber. Serial S005837
With primer in and t-bolt pulled back it will not strike the primer to fire the gun. Pulled back t-bolt, put in 209 primer, pushed t-bolt forward, and pulled trigger, click, no shot. Help?

Make sure the secondary safety on the back the bolt-hammer is screwed all the way out...

If t bolt, should not have a 209 in it! Sounds like the nipple gone! and someone just thought to put a 209 in it, Calls for a nipple (USE THE RED HOT!!!) 1/4 x 28, See if that helps!
