New to Inlines and need some help.

I tried calling Knight numerous times today, but they don't seem to answer the phone so I thought I would sign up and ask here before I change my mind.
I am considering buying one of the new Wolverines (here http://www.knightrifles.com/wolverine-straight/) but have a couple of questions.
What is "Full Plastic Jacket" ignition?
Can this Wolverine use musket caps?
Would it need a new breech plug/nipple?
Would this be considered "exposed" for legal use in Washington?

A couple of weeks ago I shot an older Wolverine using musket caps and I really liked it, but I am not sure what might have changed with the newer Wolverines.

Try calling them between 10 and 2 their time (Tennessee)

A Red Plastic Jacket is a device or carrier to insert a shot gun 209 primer into. Then that is placed on a post on the breech plug. The hammer is relaesed and hits the primer causing the gun to ignite. Not legal in Washington...

It can... I would suggest you order it that way - but I would go with #11 caps they are more reliable and can be near water proof with the correct nipple.

yes

it is an exposed cap system

A Wolverine can be a Washington legal ML, but when you order it order it with cap igniton....

I would suggest a Knight DISC Extreme with a Western Kit installed - it is a much more versitile gun and meets all the Pacific Northwest rules...

Knight DISC Extreme

Open exposed breech - the cap is visable

Thanks for the response.
I called between 7 am and 3pm Pacific time and it either rang forever or went straight to a recording.

I have read those huntwa threads before. Great info, but I can't justify the cost of the Disc Extreme. I don't plan on ML hunting for more than a season or two and the Wolverine is actually a step up in price from my first choice. Basically I am getting one to hunt with a buddy a few times.

So what makes the #11 more more waterproof than the musket caps?
Which nipple would you suggest with the #11?
I didn't see a #11 ignition version online. Is there a place to look?

Not a problem... the Wolverine is a very good gun!

When you use a capper to put the nipple on the post you actually cause it to form fit the post of the nipple if you have the correct size nipple..

I think it is explained in this thread...

You are right they are only offering it in a Plastic Jacket version...

But you can order the cap ignition in the general parts area. You would need a cap breech plug for a 50 cal Big Horn and get the nipples form TOW.

Or if you can get to Knight by phone to order the gun just tell them you want the Western Kit version of the gun...

Thanks again.
I read the 11 vs mc thread the other day.
I forgot about the capper thread and somehow missed the nipple thread. That had some good info and made sense.

When you order a western version of a rifle from Knight Rifles it comes with the breech plug and a musket cap nipple already installed and a #11 cap is in the accessory kit which is also included to.

These cell phone jammers are available at a very reasonable price. You can buy this car remote control jammer blocker very easily. As this service takes nominal charges on the network, so you would need to spend a little amount to get complete peace of mind when you are not willing to get disturbed.
