I have the Bighorn and love it. I have taken about 8 deer with her. I have shot a couple at 200 yards with open sights and dropped them like a rock. Best rifle for the price and love the thumb hole stock and you will to. Just make sure to clean it ever day after hunting. Had a few rounds not go off. It could be me or the powder, but I clean it ever night now and had no problems since. The first pic is are muley deer shot last season in republic, and 2nd pics is my blacktail shot on Cypress island 2 year ago.

My wife bought me a new Bighorn for Xmas, 1st muzzleloader I've ever owned. I've taken numerous deer with rifle, bow and pistol, excited to do it with a muzzleloader next.

Nice deer bear hunter. I agree . The Bighorn is tough to beat. No thumb hole stock here. Mine is just the plain jane black and blue . She is about 15 years young and still shoots like the day she was born.
Still looks like it too.Never a miss fire.Well I take that back. Us guys don't always read all of the instructions. Didn't read about the double safety. You can imagine my suprise when I screwed the bolt safety back and the darn thing went off.Went home and read the rest of the manual. My favorite rifle. Might also be because it was my dads.
Take care, Ed
