Rings and bases for Mountaineer?
Hey All!
New to the site, and I just got my new. 50 Mountaineer!!
My dealer carries Talley, and Leupold rings and bases. What is the correct part number or base for this rifle?
Any info will be great help!
I will be giving it the rifle a run for the money in a couple of weeks after I get home from work! I'll try and get some pics of it then and hopefully some great pics of the groups it shoots!
Thanks in advance!

Here is the number for the Leupold bases... I really like these bases as they allow you to adjust a rough windage before you have to move to the dials..apapro wrote:Hey All!

Re: Rings and bases for Mountaineer?
These are Leupold bases and medium rings on my 3x9-40 and I believe that you could get a 42 on with out a problem. It might be tight to get a scope cover on but I think it would go...crockett wrote:planning on useing this scope on my mountaineer (Leupold FX3 6x42mm Rifle Scope ) so what height standard rings would i need with the standard mounts? i would guess the med. but want to be sure i don't need the highs.
