converting to disk extreme
I have an original disk rifle and I am getting blowback and was wondering if converting to the red disk extreme would be somewhat cleaner.

It is possible that it might be somewhat cleaner, but it will still have some blow back residue in the breech area. Changing to a Extreme bolt and a new NFPJ might get rid of 85-90% of the residuearbuck wrote:I have an original disk rifle and I am getting blowback and was wondering if converting to the red disk extreme would be somewhat cleaner.

I've just finished installing Lehign Conversion kits in all 3 of my Disc Extremes to use the bare primer. I'm using CCI's 209 M primer and the reduction in blowback and cleanup time is impressive. That also eliminated all of my ignition hangfire problems with BH 209 powder. Pool Doc

I also converted to the Lehigh plug and really like it. It is so much cleaner and less hassle than having to keep buying the plastic primer holders. I have had the best luck with the winnchester primers too.
