I have a new mountaineer. I'm shooting the 250 grain bloodline. I noticed the the petals are coming off the sabots. Is that normal???

what powder and load or you shooting and what does the target look like with your groups.

Blackhorn 209. 250 grain bloodline. I've tried 120 grains down to 90 and a 3 inch group is the best I can get.

That sabot not holding up try some harvester sabots in your .452 bullet size. like the crush rub sabot. https://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/pr ... uctId/5465
