As posted I would use loose 777 or better yet Blackhorn 209 in your Disc rifle. I used B209 just fine in my 'Original Disc' with the orange discs & CCIM primers.
If you set up a chronograph you would ditch that American Pioneer powder even quicker, slow with extreme FPS spreads.
Barrel twists
Re: Barrel twists
I have a Knight .45 cal elite with a 1:20 twist. What bullet weight, grains of powder will shoot the best.
Re: Barrel twists
That is HIGHLY unlikely you have an Elite 1-20. Every Elite 45 that ive seen was a 1-30 and according to Knight all Elites were 1-30.mdraper wrote:I have a Knight .45 cal elite with a 1:20 twist. What bullet weight, grains of powder will shoot the best.
200gr SST. 195gr Barnes or 185gr Bloodline
90-120gr of Triple7 or Blackhorn209
MMP Tan or Harvester light blue smooth sabot
My Elite 45 shot best with 110gr of Blackhorn209 and the 200gr SST. I also converted to bare primer for better reliability when using Blackhorn209 powder.
Green Mountain 54-120 Brush Gun

The SS number is 311 with a stainless steel barrel
Re: Barrel twists
Serial numbers for the twist change only applies to the DISC Original 45 aka the Super DISC. Not Elites or Extremes. The ONLY other DISC based 45cal 1-20 is a small run of new Mountaineers.mdraper wrote:GMB54-120 wrote:That is HIGHLY unlikely you have an Elite 1-20.
