Visible Impact Results
Tuesday was an excellent day to get out to shoot. I have not been able to shoot at the farm since the great warm and the thought that winter might be over... but with the warm up and the melting snow the fields at the farm have become a muddy quagmire walking on them became walking in mud to your an...

Knurling a Bloodline to shoot Full Bore
For some time now I have been trying to knurl bullets to shoot without a sabot or full bore from one my Knight ULite. I have been rolling the bullets between to files creating a knurled bullet. This seemed to work very well on copper/lead bullets like the Speer .50x300 gr. Gold Dot and on Barnes XPB...

Western Shooting Today...
I have no real reason why but today I decided I wanted to do some Western Shooting, open sights, percussion caps, and full bore conicals. I chose to use some Bloodline .500x325 gr. bullets. The bullets are slightly to small to fit the bore of the Ultra-Lite, so I do have to knurl them by hand to cre...

Knight Vision - Western Edition
Not sure where to post this so I chose this Topic They were showing this at the shot show this year so it will probably on the way to the markets pretty soon. Knight has converted the Vision break open rifle to be a Western Legal. I do not know all of the particulars but I am positive it will come w...

Now! Hunting Season is really here!!!
I know the season started last month but it really has not been hunting weather.... It got cold once for a few days but other than that it has been like spring - shirt sleeve hunting weather.... But this morning things they are changing - it has been a long time coming. It started snowing about 45 m...

Knight Super DISC Rocks in the Pit
I needed a moment of recreation this morning so I grabbed a rifle and headed to the Rock Pit for some rest and relaxation. The other day one of my friends said he was going to use his Super DISC 45 to hunt with this year, I had picked a 50 cal. Ultra-Lite to use during the rifle season here in Idaho...

ULite success in the Rock Pit
The weather ! It has finally cooled off here and even has been raining - so it is only natural that I made the jump this morning to go shooting and experimenting... What I have been trying to do is to shoot a full bore conical other than a pure lead concial. With the advent of the 50 caliber pistols...

Re: will the williams peep work on a mountaineer?
sabotloader - thanks for all your help. I ordered the Mountaineer today and went with the same sight setup you have. Although I ordered stainless/silver Weaver mounts. Hoping the setup you used for the Ultra-Lite carries over OK to the Mountaineer. I like the simplicity of the NECG. I do not need 1...

Re: will the williams peep work on a mountaineer?
Will the williams peep made for the bighorn/t-bolt/disc rifles fit the mountaineer? Also what is the expected shipping/handling time on a Knight rifle? Thanks and i'll post some pictures when it arrives and I get to the range. 'darter The stock on the Mountaineer may be tick to install a Williams F...

Re: Mountaineer - 209 Bare vs FPJ
Thanks sabotloader. Everything I keep seeing seems like BH209/NFPJ is the way to go for cleanliness and accuracy. That is a great deal on a .52. I just can't seem to justify it with the lack of .52 full bore bullets (Colorado hunter). But seems like a better shooter, especially out beyond 150 yards...
