Anyone know what type of steel the original TK2K barrels were made from?

I THINK all TK2000s are/were made from stainless but i am not sure. Inspect the breach area where the plunger rides. If it is not blued, it is likely 416 stainless.

What little camo finish that has worn away in the breech area shows blue underneath. The steel exposed when the choke is removed is also blue. As I recall, when my gun was made there were options for blued or camo. Stands to reason that all were blued carbon steel.

All i can say is my call to Knight says all new ones are camo over SS. Im not sure about older models. If the breach area where the hammer/plunger assembly is blued, then its blued.

This^^^ Mine is from back around 2002 I believe, and it is blued steel under the camo.
