breech plug on knight wolverine

Hello to all, This my first post so here it goes. I put a 209 conversion plug on my wolverine years ago before Blackhorn 209 powder came out. Will that still work or is there another breech plug for this? There are other brands of guns that require a different plug to successfully ignite the powder and that is why I'm bringing this up before I try that brand of powder. I hear good reports on the blackhorn 209 so I'm thinking about giving it a try.

You dont want to use BH209 in a plunger gun. Its designed for sealed ignition systems. It can be done at your own risk.

The Knight Rifles Service people just got back to me with the following answer." As long as your using a 209 primer the breech plug will be fine. The powder only ignites with a 209 primer." I'm just passing their answer on for what it's worth.

Read FAQ #1
http://www.blackhorn209.com/faqs/

SEALED ignition systems.

I have done it with semi dangerous results. The FPJ/primer became a projectile on some of the loads and all loads of 100gr by volume.

I talked with the folks from Western Powders( Blackhorn 209 manufacturers). They also advised against using it in plunger types of ignition systems siting possible blowback through the ignition hole. Their data was supported by field tests so I'm going to have to go with what they suggested. I don't think the Knight people understood my question referring to the use of this type of powder in the Wolverine model. Thanks for your input and be safe.
