209 primers for Knight MK85

Hey everyone. It's me the novice again. Finally got a chance to take my new MK85 that I won out to shoot it yesterday. Problem;............ How do I put the 209 primers in, and where. I thought they went right on the nipple of the breach plug, but they won't go on. I thought well, maybe it takes num 11's. I bought some tonight, but they are too small. I'm at a loss. any help or suggestions out there? Need all the help I can get apparently. Have been around guns all my life, but this is my first muzzle loader.

If #11's are too small, you either have a musket cap nipple (unlikely) or your gun has the standard 209 FPJ Breech plug. The FPJ plug has a post that sticks out and takes the RED 209 full plastic jackets w/209 primers. My guess is you have the latter.
