I recently bought the NW version of the Knight Ultra-Lite .50 cal. In Oregon we must use loose powder, lead bullets & # 10/11 caps. Does anyone have any recommended loads for deer & pig hunting? Thank you from a newbie.

As of right now I am shooting 90grs of Triple 7, 44 Cal. 240gr Hornady XTP Lead Copper Jacketed bullet, and a Harvester Crush Rib Sabot. But I am using a 209 primer. 5/8 of an inch groups at 50 yards and 1/4 of an inch groups at 100 yards.

I've had success with 350 grain maxi hunter conicals and 120 grains rs.

try 80 yo 90 grains of any good Black powder, I would use T-7 or RS Pistol, then try some of the Precision rifle bullets. You can find them on the web at Precision custom muzzleloader bullets

Just got back from 2 solid days at the range with my new Ultra-Lite.

So... 350 grain maxi hunter conical. 1 inch group at 100 hundred yards with 105 grains rs.
But... 350 grain maxi hunter conical, 110 grains rs and 3/4 inch goups at 100 yards. Those are clover shaped clusters :)

This thing is a tack driver and I'm going to go through different grain conicals and also check out the performance of the "P" powder after the rs.
