209 primer effect

Topic has probably been covered before but can't find it.

I shoot a DISC Extreme with 110 grains of 777. I also reload shotgun shells so have a wide variety of primers from mild CCI up to some hot magnum primers. All make the 777 charge go boom.

Has anybody experimented with different primers to determine point of impact variation at 100 or 200 yards using same powder charges. I usually grab a few of the first ones I find during before hunting season, but maybe not a good idea. Thanks, and if I'm bringing up a muzzleloading 101 topic I apologize.

If your using T7 you will need to us the mildest primer you can get in 209 this helps cut down on the crud ring you get with T7. and work up your load by starting with 80gr to 120 gr going up in 10gr at a time.

I have tried different primers with the same powder load and have found that point of impact will change as well velocity. I have found that if you want to check for accuracy you should weigh each charge for the best results. I have found that if i use T-7 then i get the best results out of T-7 primers, there seams like less of a crud ring
