KRB7 Rolling block

New to the forum but have a few questions about this KRB7. I have shot 150 rounds through it , maybe. Anyway, I did have the initial problem with the firing pin not hitting the primer and Knight fixed it. Since then, no problems. I took a mule deer with it before I moved form colorado to kansas. Now that I am here, people tell me I can mount a scope and use sabots! Awesome! My questions are these:
1 I want to step down in weight to a 250 grain sabot bullet, any reccomendations? I hear the red hots can get cookin around 2000 fps
2 Scope mounts. I have seen a few fellows use the #45 from weaver. I picked some up today at lunch to see if they work.
3 I have shot this rifle consistently at 100 yards with open sights, I am only shooting whitetail now, if I can hit accurately with it, would anyone reccomend against hunting out to 150 yards? I imagine it has the power but would like a little educated/experienced opinion

Thanks and I look forward to learning what I can here. EJ

By the way, the #45 mounts from weaver fit perfectly.
