long range options

I have a Knight Vision and would like to experiment some longer range shots as I just found out I drew a Gila National Forrest Elk tag....

What are people doing to maximize distance and still be able to take an ethical shot?? I am interested in bullet choices, powder and primers..

Well i dont have a 50cal Knight anymore but in my 52cal, i like the .458 325gr FTX and the .458 275gr Bloodline. Whichever shoots best for you using 110gr or more if you need the range. Im assuming you are using BH209 or T7 loose powder. The Barnes .458 300gr SOCOM may also do well for you.
