Re: Wolverine Load
Are you saying the bullet had no drop from 50 to 100 yards? The bonus is that that the point of impact is the same for both 50 and 100 yards.

Re: trajectory issue
If you can shoot at a animal at 200 yards, cant you shoot at a target at 200 yards? Anything else is just a guess and may differ from your actual results. You could estimate the BC at .200, I doubt its much better in the real world vs inflated manufacturers specs. You still need a confirmed muzzle v...

Re: Knight Disc Extreme conversion kit
You can call in and ask for a M900608 conversion kit. Which has a bare primer bolt handle and a bare primer breech plug for the disc. This kit will eliminate using that adapter that comes with the other conversion. It is not online but we do offer this kit. You just have to call in to customer serv...

Re: Loads/Bullets for Elk in Northwest
I cant imagine why you would need more than 100gr of powder if you used a 440-460gr conical. Many people only use around 70-90gr with the big lead. That load is basically a 50/90 Sharps without the case. Knight sells the Parker conical. http://www.knightrifles.com/product/hydra-con-50-cal-440-grain-...

Re: Knight Disc Extreme conversion kit
So would it and without a 2nd thought about it. The RPJ is no where near as dependable with BH209.a1smokepole wrote:I would go with this plug and a winchester W209 primer. us this plug on all my knight and works great.

Re: NMLRA In-Line match results
I wonder how much Blackhorn209 Mark needed to get the 275gr BE to stabilize in a 45cal 1-30 twist.

Re: NMLRA In-Line match results
All Hunter class rifles were factory. Interesting, Mark Miller shot a Knight Mountaineer 45cal with a Parker 275gr BE and BH209. That would be a sabotless .451 bullet shot from a 1-30 twist barrel if its factory. I never had much luck shooting that heavy of a sabotless jacketed bullet in a 1-30 twi...

Re: NMLRA In-Line match results
You mean before Doc White's team broke all previous records with that "sub caliber" Varminter rifle. I sure hope that if the Manufacturer's Match ever returns, there is a 40cal minimum caliber or at least a different class for sub 40cal MLs.a1smokepole wrote:Looks just like the old day when they ruled.

Re: 54 caliber loads for MK85
what kind of grouping can I expect to get if I go with Tonys Thats a bit hard to say. I normally dont use Triple7. I use pretty stiff amounts of BH209 in a Extreme based brush gun made by Green Mountain. On the Modern Muzzleloader forum one member has posted very good results with the 325gr Speer i...
